Botanic Christmas Lights,
24 Nov – 30 Dec 2017, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
This magical, illuminated trail through the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh is set to be a real winter highlight. After dark, the trees and Glasshouses will be aglow with colour, on an enchanting one mile walk. The Botanic Christmas Lights path follows a designated route past installations and illuminations, with all the unfamiliar sights and sounds of the garden at night.
Following the huge success of Botanic Lights in autumn 2014 to 2016, a new Christmas event is planned for 2017. It promises to be bigger, brighter and more spectacular than ever before. In addition to the fantastic effects, be sure to keep an eye out for Santa and his elves on this year’s walk!
Warming mulled wine, hot drinks, roasted chestnuts and other traditional fare will be available. Plus a chance to browse the festive gift shop and even toast marshmallows on a fire pit. This is a unique family event to get you into the festive spirit.
This event is expected to be very popular, so book your tickets in advance to guarantee entry. There are various time slots available from 4.40pm to 8.00pm. Early evening and weekend slots are expected to sell-out early.
